We are - Paul (main blogger), Abi, and Alfie.
Starting this project we’re 30, 29 and 3 years old. By the time we finish, who knows how much older and how many more stress lines we’ll have. I’m married to Abi, and Alfe is our little boy. We currently rent our house in Salford, Mid Beds, on the plot where were hope to build our first real family home.
Abi is the main bread winner, working for an advertising agency her father formed many moons ago. I make a small living from running what was a hobby website (MINI2.com), inbetween looking after Alfie. We’re all very fortunate that we live and work at the same property, so although we work really odd hours, and don’t ever seem to get holidays, we get to see a lot of each other, which is fantastic, especially as Alfie is growing so fast.
The extended “we” for this must include Lewis, Abi’s brother, who is building the 2nd home on the plot, and Dawn, Abi’s Mum, who owns the property and plot, and has experience of two previous self build projects.
